Is 1 hour of guitar practice enough? – Learn Piano Lessons Online

I’m not saying that you need to do 1 hour of guitar practice a day, as it seems to be more important that you are able to spend the majority of your time practicing. I’m just saying that if you don’t practice the guitar at least 4 times a day, then it’s unlikely that you will be able to practice enough to be competitive (unless your playing has improved significantly in the past, in which case you should look forward to your next practice), and there will be a lot more unnecessary time spent on things you don’t need rather than playing things you do need.

Why aren’t you playing more guitar?

Probably because you’re not good enough? Maybe because you’re still in school and don’t have enough time? Maybe because you’re just not that good at guitar and don’t have the time, or the motivation to do so? Or perhaps because you don’t know how to practice?

Whatever the reason, it’s always best to spend your time practicing if you want to make progress. If it’s just going to take you 5 days to get better, spend that time practicing!

There are a ton of books out there on guitar, so here are a few of my personal favorites that aren’t written in a way that will convince you that playing guitar is the only thing you should be doing.

“I Love Guitar”

This has been my favorite guitar text to read over the years and it’s always recommended to me. It’s also very clear and simple to read.

If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend you do. It gives you an awesome overview of the entire genre, gives you a great overview of how most guitarists learn from watching videos and listening to live and recorded performance, and shows you what type of tone you should aim to achieve. Even if you aren’t a guitarist and you’ve only just started playing some guitar/electronics I would recommend you pick this up or one of the other books listed in here. The fact that it’s 100% free means you can take as many classes or classes that you like without any added cost to yourself, which is always a plus.

If you are like me and you only want to use this as an outline for your own progress, then make sure you read the other books also posted below. These will
