A diet high in fiber, protein, whole grains, fruits, vegetables and lean protein like chicken, fish, low Fat cheese or soy or low fat milk.
You need to eat some form of carbs to help burn belly fat, but there’s not enough fiber or fat to fuel your body the way it needs to burn the extra calories.
If you’re eating more than you need to keep your weight in check, the energy you need is going to be stored in your body fat. That’s why it’s easy to lose that belly fat if you eat too much carbohydrate or don’t exercise enough.
If you’re eating the right carbs, fat, protein and healthy foods to fuel your body and keep you from getting hungry, you’ll burn through all that belly fat.
If you’re not doing these things right, you can easily be gaining back the belly fat that you’ve lost.
I’m so pleased that these things are part of the Paleo Diet. But if you’re not eating the Paleo Diet, you also have to keep on top of your blood sugar, sodium, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, insulin, glucose and your other risk factors.
It can be really easy to get on top of them, but with the Paleo Diet, you just have to follow a program of doing the right things that you need to do to help you burn and stay lean.
So in that way, the Paleo Diet is a lifestyle plan rather than anything else. There’s no one-size fits all approach.
