Here is a table showing how many calories a woman eats in a day based on women’s body weight and BMI (body mass index, also known as weight in pounds divided by height in inches (weight in pounds).

The tables are based on one pound of body weight, or 2,000 calories or less if you are overweight or have excess fat. If you are below age 18, your daily calorie consumption is based on the average weight in the U.S.

If you are over age 64, your daily calorie consumption is based on the average weight in the U.S. and is based on calories consumed in the last 12 months.

If you are over age 75, your daily calorie consumption is based on the average weight in the U.S. and is based on calories consumed in the last 12 months.

The number in parentheses is the calories or macros per day for weight status and BMI.

Calories from carbs

The amount of carbs you eat (called calories or net carbs) influences how much weight you can lose in a short period of time.

Calories from carbohydrates:

For women under age 50, the average: 200 calories (or 12 grams of carbs)

For women over 50, the average: 180 calories (or 9 grams of carbs)

For women 50 years and older, the average: 150 calories (or 7 grams of carbs)

The table below shows how many calories a woman can eat in a day to lose weight.

Calories from carbohydrates:

For women under age 50, the average: 60 calories (or 2 grams of carbs)

For women over 50, the average: 40 calories (or 1 gram of carbs)

For women 50 years and older, the average: 15 calories (or 0.5 grams of carbs)

For women 50 years and older, the average: 6 calories (or .5 grams of carbs)

For women 50 years and older, the average: 2.5 calories (or .125 grams of carbs)

The number in parentheses is the calories or macros per day for weight status and BMI.

For a woman eating less than 120 grams of carbs per day, there are no calories from carbs in her day.

Calories from fats

For women under age 50, the amount of fat she eats determines how much fat she can lose in a short period of time.
