As with most arts (be it music, design or writing) a broad overview of your talents is necessary to be truly successful; there is also a strong need to take note of your strengths; and an understanding of your weaknesses can be valuable.
What are your favourite books and movies?
At first, this may help you focus your interest; however, I recommend learning to appreciate what you like rather than what you don’t. There are, of course, some books and movies that I would consider a must read in all areas, however it is important to be aware of which ones you prefer based on personal preference; most importantly, you will have to choose whether your tastes are more about learning about a subject, or finding a new one.
How have you grown as a person as a result of your exposure to different fields of study?
The reason most people think they know a lot but don’t know much has to do with lack of time. If you want to be a painter, you must take great interest in this process for a substantial amount of time in order to have the necessary tools to get better quickly.
How do you feel about being described in a certain way?
One can only see the world through a lens of one’s own personal perception and not take the time to understand the world as it truly is. We are only as good as the way we view the world and what we choose to see as a result of our own preferences.
What does the ‘creative community’ mean to you?
As a painter I understand its role; however, there is no ‘creative community’. The process of finding a new way to paint, learning, developing and refining your style will bring you closer to your own interests, in turn, giving greater satisfaction.
If you could be anywhere in the world, where would you go?
From one of the biggest cities like London, to one of the smallest towns in a country like India. This is really just my opinion after studying it for so long; however I guess it should also be stated that some places are far more meaningful and meaningful on a spiritual level than others.
What are your hopes for the future?
Having had a year’s experience of having my painting seen and liked by most people, I have been in contact with a group of people who have seen my paintings, and with whom I have started to build relationships. I would like to be able to continue doing this
