Can I learn painting online?

Yes, you can learn painting online! Our courses are geared toward beginner/intermediate level artists. We have multiple levels of teaching, including a 3 hour studio course and an online studio course, where you can practice and learn in private in a way that is personalized for your learning style.

How do I learn?

Click through our course section and complete the form below to begin learning to paint. It takes only a few minutes to complete. We do not require you to have any previous paintbrush experience, but we do require you complete a few short brushwork tasks in order to gain a bit of experience. Click through the gallery to see how painting techniques are explained and how to complete each task. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us using the Contact Us Form on this page. If you are unable to take the class (because you cannot afford it/it’s out of your area), you can request that we contact you after the class and allow you to return at a later date (although we may charge a $10 per class shipping fee). When you return if you are able and interested in taking your painting class again (after completing your online instruction)!

Which online courses are offered?

We offer 6 online painting classes – each teaching a different method of painting: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Creative, and Experimental.

How long do I have to paint?

Typically, painting takes you about 1/2 hour to complete (including 1-3 hours of painting in between) – which is a long time for a person new to painting and who are new to painting on-line. However, if you find your first painting to be challenging, we suggest you take a step back and then go back in time (at a later date).

How will I know for sure which painting type is the best for me?

If you prefer to follow instructions in a notebook as detailed below, you will find that the books listed below are designed with you in mind as your main teacher.
