“That’s a lot of work.”
I don’t know if I could do it, I know I have to talk to them.
“This is not something I can just ignore. I have to know everything.”
She didn’t say to me, this was something she had to do.
“I can find you if we are together.”
She stopped talking to me. “This is no time for this, you need to listen to me and stop this.”

“You don’t have to say anything.”
She is in charge of me now.
“I have my own reasons and I am not going to give up on them. I am going to be the best person I can be so you can keep my heart and not give up on it.”
She doesn’t know me well enough or well enough to say that.
It was clear that she still wanted to talk about them. I just wanted to stop.
I looked at Toph.
She started to smile and laugh.
I couldn’t find anything good just thinking about this. I was glad when our food had arrived, I knew I didn’t need this anymore.
“We should stay,” I told her. “I have nothing else that needs doing.”
Without a second thought she agreed.
We sat down on the bed and we began to talk. We discussed about where we will go next.
We both talked about what we have learned from us and how to protect our people.
We didn’t want to go out in the open anymore, not yet. After all that we have seen, what we have already done is nothing to worry about.
We were tired of running.
We talked about our past and how we can move forward.
We decided to stay.
We decided to talk it out for the future.
It was easy to talk because we were both like this, our voices held no weight. I could talk about everything that I’ve been through, how I feel and my worries. I wasn’t a liar, I was trying to stop Toph from losing hope.
Toph listened and understood.
Our friendship was the reason we were together.
