Can you name a few?

There are two basic types:

1. Book Review Edit – The first type is for reviewing the book for grammar and style issues

2. Book Style Edit – The last type is for editing the book to ensure that it’s formatted for readers across age groups.

Is there an open role on our staff?

Currently we have 4 people employed as BookEditers. In the past we also had a few interns.

How did you come up with the name for the company?

We chose it for two reasons:

1) It was both descriptive and funny.

2) We wanted the book to speak for itself, so we used the word editor to describe it.

We are looking for an Editorial Assistant (DA). For less than $250/month you will work full time at The Book Review.

How do I become an editorial assistant?

We are hiring at the same time for Editorial Assistants, so if you want to start in the fall, be ready to apply. We are always looking for interns, but can only afford to pay staff a flat amount for three months. It takes around 2-3 months to make the salary.

What should I know about work hours?

You should know that we are generally closed on Sundays, as we want to be family friendly.

How will I get started with The Book Review?

If you have worked as a writer, editor, or copyeditor you will get an introductory letter from the publisher’s office. If you do not know how to take notes, you can send an email to [email protected]
