In my experience, this is possible, assuming the above steps are done and that you are doing more than reading about online courses and videos.
The most important thing to remember is that you are in the music you are in for the long term and it is important to be committed for a long time.
You will be happy if you’re doing something you love for a long time and not just for a quick fix. This should be your primary goal.
You’ll be able to learn more quickly if you keep your work up to date. And I’m not a fan of the “quick fix” of “learning a song” or “practicing” to figure out how to play that song.
I’m a fan of making an action plan and sticking to it, and I’m a fan of getting your work done and moving onto other things when you are feeling tired or overwhelmed.
Are you a teacher?
The most important thing to remember here is that if you are trying to teach others through online learning, you need to understand the differences between teaching and learning.
Your job isn’t to teach anyone. Your job is to help them discover what they need to know for themselves.
When I hear somebody refer to learning guitar as a “job”, this is what I want to call my job (or perhaps I should just call it my “job” as a teacher).
Learning guitar is NOT a “project” and it’s not someone else’s responsibility. If someone needs to improve their performance, that’s not something you “teach” the guitar to do.
There are many things you can do to help people get better, that are NOT teaching. For example: coaching them to learn how to play a song, getting them to go to a guitar class or helping them work on their songs.
What is the right learning level?
As I mentioned earlier in the article, the goal shouldn’t be to go from a good level of knowledge (which is usually a solo or blues song) to a great level of knowledge (which is usually a gig or a whole band), but to focus on how a specific instrument (song, gig, session or gig-style gig) is used, and how you should learn how to use that instrument.
We’re all familiar with how many students need a full album before they can begin to learn a song, or how many musicians need 3 or 4 weeks before they can begin practicing on
